Description

Location of Accommodation

This new two bedroom apartment is situated on the West side of Albufeira in a quiet mainly residential area just ten minutes walk from Fisherman’s Beach, The Old Town and the Marina. The apartment is on the 'elevated' ground floor of the condominium and is south facing with some sea views. There is a small supermarket selling most day to day items including freshly baked bread and croissants. There is a bus stop 2 minutes walk away. There are number of small bars within a few minutes walk.


Accommodation
 
The apartment has two bedrooms and two bathrooms and is light and spacious.
Bedroom one is en-suite with a fully fitted wardrobe, and a safe. There is a large chest of drawers and two smaller drawer units. A hair drier is provided for guests. The en suit has a bath, with overhead shower, vanity unit, bidet and WC.
Bedroom two has two single beds, fully fitted wardrobe and small drawer units. A baby cot is provided on request.
Bathroom two has a shower with a safety handrail, vanity unit and WC with hand rail.

All bedding and towels are supplied except for beach/ pool towels and cot linen which must be provided by guests.

The kitchen is fully equipped for self catering, boasting electric oven and grill, ceramic hob, extractor fan, microwave, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, washing machine toaster, electric, kettle, iron, ironing board, and all cooking implements.

In the living room there are two easy chairs, a sofa, dining room table and 4 upholstered chairs. The apartment is also equipped with flat screen satellite TV, and DVD player. There is selection of books and DVDs for the enjoyment of our guests.

Although ground floor, the apartment is elevated and is some five or six feet above ground level, with a balcony running the full width of the property (15 metres). The balcony is fronted by a raised garden containing a variety of colourful plants and shrubs. A table and four chairs are provided on the balcony. Patio doors from the lounge and both bedrooms gain access to the balcony.

Four sun beds are also provided at the poolside for the use of our guests.

Sheets and towels are changed every week for stays of 14 nights or more, this is included in the price.


Facilities on site

Guests share the use of the condominium pools in a totally private and enclosed courtyard at the rear of the premises. There is a main pool and a linked children’s pool.
The pool area is an absolute sun trap and the use of sun cream is essential in the summer months. The pools are heated from spring to autumn; there is also a poolside shower.

A poolside restaurant is open to non residents of the Boa Vista Hotel directly opposite the complex offering a selection of bar type meals and snacks overlooking the ocean.
On payment non residents are also able to use the hotel spa, gym, and restaurant facilities.


Accessibility

All doors in the apartment are wheelchair accessible. Hand rails are provided in the bathroom for the benefit of disabled guests. There is lift access from the basement garage to the apartment.


Close by

The Old Town is just ten minutes walk away and is renowned for its family friendly atmosphere with dozens of restaurants, cafes, bars and street entertainers. Ten minutes in the opposite direction are the chic bars and restaurants of the marina. However the romantics can enjoy some lovely cliff top alfresco restaurants just five minutes walk away en route to the Old Town.

Just 10 minutes drive or bus ride away at Guia is the “Shop Algarve” mall complex containing high quality shops and boutiques, food courts and an English language cinema complex.


Coast/Beach

The apartment is centrally placed for visiting the hundreds of beautiful bays and beaches of the Algarve. Many are accessible by local bus services.


Golf

Nothing more needs to be said about the world class golf facilities of the Algarve, there are over 15 courses within a half an hour drive


Water Sports

For water sports enthusiasts Albufeira alone boasts, surfing, sailing, paragliding, jet skiing, pleasure cruises, and big game fishing.


Travelling Around

There is ample shopping in Albufeira, but a bus, or car ride will take you to some of the other towns and villages in the region each with their individual character of the Algarve region. Trains run from Albufeira to Lisbon, and there is a daily sight seeing bus service to the capital of Flamenco, Seville in Spain.


Things to Do

Beach lovers will be spoiled for choice. There are numerous other attractions within 30 minute drive or bus ride, these include two huge water parks, zoo marine, jeep safaris, ancient towns and cities including Silves, Faro Old Town, and the Faro marine nature reserve with daily boat trips to the islands. For walking enthusiasts there is the Algarve coastal path, exploration of the countryside and villages in the hills just to the north with their vineyards, and slow pace of life.(the months of April May June, September, October and November are ideal for walking with warm weather and low rainfall.)
 

Distances

Lisbon is about 180 km to the North.

Faro Airport is 30 km to the East (about 35 minutes by taxi, car or bus).

Taxi fare is about £35 each way to Faro airport.

Albufeira railway Station connects to the European rail network.


Booking notes

A 25% deposit is required please to secure bookings, the balance payable no later than 6 weeks before arrival. In addition a refundable £200 security bond is required to be paid at the time of the balance. This ensures the property is maintained in pristine condition for the enjoyment of all our guests. The bond will be returned in full within 7 days of end of stay.
